Nobody loves Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes more than Cris Collinsworth.

He was back at it again on Sunday Night Football when the Chiefs took on the Lions.

Collinsworth, who was calling the game for NBC, was so taken aback by Mahomes’s six-yard run that he ended up asking a question with a few easy answers.

“What quarterback does that?” Collinsworth asked about Patrick Mahomes.

“I mean, really? He’s gonna get hit and turned around. He got whacked. Most quarterbacks go down before they even get down to the whacked part of it. He’s gonna get whacked and then he’s gonna turn around and get whacked again. I mean, he’s just a fighter. He really is. He’s just a fighter.”

During the game, he also had a moment where he did Patrick Mahomes dirty as he dropped a cruel impersonation of him during the broadcast.

Fans prove Cris Collinsworth Wrong On Patrick Mahomes’ Claim

Cris Collinsworth is well known for his admiration of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

But after Sunday’s game, some NFL fans believe Collinsworth is taking that admiration just a little too far.

After he gushed about his running ability, many took issue with his claim that no other quarterback could possibly do what he does.

He was quickly proven wrong by social media.

“Baker Mayfield,” one person replied.

“And y’all swear Tom Brady is the worst commentator when you have Collinsworth still around. Every game for him, he sees something he’s “never seen” when he’s been around the game for 40+ years,” a second person wrote.

“Baker Mayfield. Both my dad and I responded the exact same when Collinsworth said that,” a third person added.

“Baker Mayfield accomplished that feat no more than an hour ago,” one final fan commented.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs bounced back with a huge 30-17 win over the Lions on Sunday night at Arrowhead. They are now 3-3 on the season and looked more like themselves just a week after losing a tough game on the road to the Jaguars on Monday Night Football.

Mahomes had an incredible night, throwing three touchdowns and running for another.
